Dr. Julian Scott Yeomans from York University visits IEESC on April 22. He gives a seminar titled “A Journey through Simulation Decomposition: Turtles All the Way Down”. Dr. Yeomans has been a Professor of OMIS at Schulich since 1993. He is Director of both the Master of Management in Artificial Intelligence (MMAI) program and the Master of Business Analytics (MBAN). He holds degrees in management science/information systems, environmental engineering, business, and statistics. His recent research has extended into such areas as aviation electrification, urban planning, electric vehicle routing, waste management, climate uncertainties, agriculture, empirical finance, and cascading domino-effect risks. In collaboration with Mariia Kozlova from LUT university in Finland, for the past five years, Julian’s focus has been channeled into the creation and advancement of simulation-decomposition (SimDec). This research stream has generated two books, several articles, and numerous patent filings.
