IEESC students carried out field samping at Melville compress station

On October 17th, IEESC members Jian Shen and Kai Zhao finished field sampling at Melville compress station in Melville. The goal of the sampling trip is to collect native biomass and soil for a research project funded by SaskEnergy and Mitacs. The field sampling was successfully completed. These samples will then be used to produce and test functionalized biochar for enhanced soil remediation.
