Dr. Yang Liu from University of Alberta visits IEESC

On December 20, 2019, Dr. Yang Liu had a one-day visit to IEESC. Dr. Liu is currently Professor of Environmental Engineering& Innovation Centre for Engineering, University of Alberta. She holds a Canada Research Chair (Tier 2) in Future Community Water Services and NSERC Industrial Research Chair in Sustainable Urban Water Development. On the afternoon, Dr. Liu gave an interesting seminar entitled “Towards more sustainable wastewater treatment: From energy efficiency to resource recovery” to UR campus. After this seminar, Dr. Liu had a thorough discussion with IEESC researchers. She was very satisfied with the visit outcome and would like to conduct more research collaboration with IEESC in the future.
