Dr. Chunjiang An’s Discovery Grant proposal entitled “Risk Assessment of Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) in Prairie Surface Water under Changing Climate” was approved by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. The total amount awarded from NSERC is $110,000.
Understanding the environmental risk of endocrine disrupting chemicals in surface water is a challenge in the Canadian prairies. Dr. An’s project aims to develop effective tools and strategies for discerning the impacts of EDCs on prairie watersheds and ensure the safety of our water supply under changing climatic conditions.
The goal of the discovery research programs is to support researchers and students who are furthering our understanding of the world and how it works.
