On December 16, 2013, IEESC alumni Dr. Yongping Li, professor of North China Electrical Power University (NCEPU), won the 13th Chinese Youth Award of Science and Technology at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing. This award is the top award for Chinese youth scientist and engineer. No more than 100 winners will be honored for this award every two years. Dr. Li pursued her graduate study at IEESC from 2003 to 2007. She is the first NCEPU professor to get this award.
