The International Engineering Education and Sustainable Communities Centre (IEESC) is pleased to announce that its project, “Self-Powered Water Device for Remote Areas” received an award at the 18th Annual RCE Saskatchewan Awards for Achievement in Education for Sustainable Development, held on May 29, 2026, at the Manitou Springs Resort and Mineral Spa in Manitou Beach, Saskatchewan.
The annual awards recognize initiatives that advance education for sustainable development and promote innovative solutions to environmental and community challenges.
The award-winning project focuses on developing a self-powered system to improve access to clean water in remote and underserved areas. By integrating sustainable engineering and renewable energy concepts, the project demonstrates a practical approach to addressing real-world water accessibility challenges.
IEESC is honoured to receive this recognition and remains committed to advancing sustainable development through engineering education, innovation, and community engagement.
