The Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities (IEESC) at the University of Regina welcomed a delegation from Saskatchewan Polytechnic to discuss potential collaboration on a proposed research project focused on AI-driven discovery of agricultural residue-based adsorbents for arsenic removal from mining wastewater.
The Saskatchewan Polytechnic team shared their project vision and expressed strong interest in working with IEESC, particularly in the areas of sustainable wastewater treatment and circular agriculture. The visit included a project briefing, seminar, and a tour of the IEESC laboratory facilities.
This meeting marks the beginning of what promises to be a productive partnership aimed at addressing environmental challenges through innovative, interdisciplinary research.
