Members of the International Institute for Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Development (IEESC) attended NuclearFACTS 2025, held in Saskatoon, Canada. The conference brought together policymakers, researchers, industry experts, and stakeholders to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in nuclear energy development, with a particular emphasis on advanced nuclear technologies and their role in sustainable energy transitions.
During the conference, Dr. Gordon Huang, Executive Director of IEESC, delivered an invited presentation focusing on the future planning and deployment of Micro Modular Reactors (MMRs). His presentation addressed strategic pathways for MMR integration, associated energy-system implications, and their potential contribution to low-carbon, reliable, and resilient power systems. Dr. Huang’s participation highlighted IEESC’s active engagement in advancing research and policy dialogue on next-generation nuclear technologies and sustainable energy systems.
