IEESC helped Aquistore Public Assurance Monitoring

As the first project to store CO2 in a deep saline aquifer in Canada, Aquistore initiates a monitoring program managed by PTRC. Soil gas sampling is an important component for the measurement, monitoring and verification works for this project.
Due to the pandemic and travel restrictions, technicians from STFX could not visit Estevan. STFX and PTRC contacted IEESC to help with sample collection. Dr. Gordon Huang and IEESC members welcomed the opportunity and completed soil gas sampling in March 2021. The samples were shipped for further analyses.
