From November 17 to 19, 2016, an IEESC alumnus Dr. Bing Chen attended the annual general meeting of Royal Society of Canada in Kingston, Ontario. He was also inducted as a member of the 2016 cohort of the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists. 

 

Inaugurated in 2014, “The College” is Canada’s first national system of multidisciplinary recognition for the emerging generation of Canadian intellectual leadership. Every year, “The College” will elect approximately 80 individuals who are within 15 years of having completed their PhD or equivalent qualification. Members will be elected to the College for a period of seven years. Dr. Chen is currently professor of Memorial University of Newfoundland. He got his PhD degree from IEESC in 2005. Congratulations on Dr. Chen's great achievement!
