Living Labs and Ecomuseums: Integrating Sustainability in Higher Education

May 9, 2014

On May 8, 2014, the University of Regina hosted a day to profile new projects related to ecomuseums, living laboratories and community engagement, and provide a forum for networking. Representatives from higher education, communities, and the public, private, and voluntary sectors were in attendance, representing research, teaching, students, facilities, administration, and sustainability offices.

Symposium co-organizer Jocelyn Crivea said the event was effective for sharing ideas and information about projects that are integrating sustainability into academics and campus operations, museums working within communities to be local problem solvers, engaging youth, and improving community well-being.
