IEESC attends International Conference on Marine and Freshwater Environments

From Aug 6-8, 2014, Dr. Gordon Huang, Dr. Chunjiang An, Mr. Renfei Liao and visiting scholar Dr. Xiaowen Ding attended the International Conference on Marine and Freshwater Environments (iMFE) 2014 in St. John’s NL. This conference is also the joint conferences of:
- the 2014 Annual Conference of the International Society for Environmental Information Sciences (ISEIS)
- the 2014 Atlantic Symposium of the Canadian Association on Water Quality (CAWQ)
- the 2014 Annual General Meeting and 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering Newfoundland and Labrador Section (CSCE-NL)
- the 2nd International Conference of Coastal Biotechnology (ICCB) of the Chinese Society of Marine Biotechnology and Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)
Dr. Huang is one of the three conference honorable chairs as ISEIS President and Mr. Liao is the member of organizing committee. During the conference, Dr. An, Dr. Ding and Mr. Liao made four interesting presentations on environmental modeling, risk assessment and decision making. They exchanged their research ideas with more than 100 researchers and scientists all over the world. With over 100 attendees from 9 countries, 23 informative sessions, more than 60 oral presentations, and 15 poster exhibitions, this conference indeed was a great success.
